About Us

We are a local farm with deep roots in the local community. Eric Fritch was born and raised in Snohomish where he raised vegetables and livestock as a 4-H Club and Future Farmers of America (FFA) member during high school. He graduated from Snohomish High and went off to Washington State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He returned to Snohomish and opened Chinook Lumber in Clearview, in Monroe and in three other Washington locations.

Eric and his English wife, Sharon, are avid organic gardeners and long-time residents of Clearview. In addition to their home they own the 132-acre Chinook Farms. The germ of the CSA idea came in 2009 when local gardeners grew produce for local area food banks on the Fritch land.

Shane Stevie and his new bride Kortney live in Clearview and will be working the farm in the spring of 2010. Kortney grew up on a dairy farm in the Midwest. Shane is committed to sustainable farming practices and providing his community with locally grown, quality produce.

Eric and Shane must have the real “farmer’s gene” because they planted hard red winter wheat on the Farm, something even old-timers say can’t be grown in the Snohomish Valley. So far, the crop looks good.
