Farms with whom we share acreage, passion, and dedication to the land
FRESH LOCAL PRODUCE
Established in 2011 by Rand Rasheed, One Leaf Farm grows a wide variety of vegetables on 5 acres outside of Snohomish, WA. Our produce is grown without the use of synthetic chemicals.
We build our soil’s fertility with cover crops, compost, crop rotation, allow for a fallow resting period, and working closely with an agronomist to build our soil’s health. We control weeds with hand and tractor tools, never chemical. We use fabric row cover to keep pests away, and OMRI approved biocontrol products when absolutely necessary. Success to us means that we are an asset to our local economy, the health of our customers, and the health of our natural environment. |
FOOD BANK FARM
Food Bank Farm is an outreach ministry of The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Redmond, WA. Run by the Rector, Jim Eichner, our mission is to end hunger in the Pacific Northwest by growing fresh produce for area food banks.
Today, Food Bank Farm grows food on 20 acres in the Snoqualmie river valley and with the help of thousands of local volunteers, produces over 300,000 pounds of food each year. To date, Food Bank Farm has delivered over two million pounds of food for local food banks. To learn more about this endeavor and how you can help, please visit their website. |
